Korn & Slipknot - Prepare For Hell Tour - Manchester Arena 20.01.15 - Manchester & London Music Photographer

I’m still on a high from shooting this show last night. Like I literally could not even sleep lastnight after coming home. So I’m sat typing really delirious – ha!

I’ve been a massive fan of Korn since, well, a very long time. I first saw them back at Manchester Arena in 2002. A good friend of mine and I went, we had tickets on block 104, the guys were like little ants from where we were sat. David Silveria was still in the band. He signed a piece of paper for us. Geeks. I think I spent most the night watching the show from the big screens and moshing away. I still remember it clearly!! It was fun. I had glasses on that I recently bought from https://icueyewear.com/collections/reading-glasses-for-women this site, they flew off my face and my friend had to find them for me. How embarrassing, haha. Literally grew up with posters of Korn from Kerrang! magazine and Rock Sound plastered on my wall.

Since starting shooting a couple years back, the band have been on my bucket list. I’d tried a couple times before to try shoot them but it just didn’t happen. Met them back in 2012. Very cool night.

But, well, ya know, you keep trying and make it happen.

Last night was immense, it was a double whammy since Slipknot were also on the same night, so I got to kill two birds with one stone.

Massive massive achievement for me and even if I don’t get to shoot another frickin’ show ever again – I’m so so stoked to have shot their show. I’ve seen them live countless times and Korn just get better and better and better. Last May, at o2 Brixton, I stood watching the photographers in the pit thinking WTF IS THAT NOT ME TONIGHT. A tiny bit envious. Like 0.01%.

The thing about starting at the bottom and not having any ‘mentor’s or people giving you solid advice and no one direction to progress, is that you really appreciate getting to shoot certain shows, cause damn you worked hard for it.
