A few months ago I headed down and saw Tom play at Manchester Town Hall. It was a super intimate show in an absolutely beautiful setting – like seriously guys. Manchester Town Hall is insanely gorgeous. It suited his sound and vibe perfectly. He played to a sold out venue a few nights back. this time at O2 Apollo in Manchester.
As a photographer, each show has its own challenges and technical aspects of it.
Honestly, music photography is glorified to the max but actually it’s just like any other job, it has its pros and cons yada yada yada.
Moving on, Tom was sat at his keys for the first 3 songs which pretty much meant I was about to leave with shots which looked similar to every other photographers photos, from the same angle. I was hoping he would be up and about for atleast one track, well, that didn’t happen (booooo)
It was a great show to shoot though as the lighting was beautiful and backdrop too.
