During pregnancy this time,I had a lot of problems physically which meant I was unable to be out and about photographing as much. Jobs were cancelled and I had to take the decision to simply cut back on work as I couldn’t physically deliver the jobs.It’s been a very rough ride and so I’m so happy that baby girl is here and I’m able to be out and about photographing sessions again.Postpartum journey this time was also more intense due to third degree tearing – but I think I’m kinda out of the woods!
It’s been around 7 months or so since photographing a live event – and so i was pretty excited but also anxious to get back into a photo pit after so long. Felt very rusty as photographing live shows are very challenging!
30 Seconds to Mars performed their Manchester tour date on their current Seasons tour at the wonderful AO Arena. Last time I photographed the band at the venue they invited photographers to stay the whole duration and we got to photograph some bits up on stage with them also! This sort of thing doesn’t happen often – especially since this is 30 seconds to mars who have a huge following and play to large arenas and so forth.
The band put on a fantastic show and it was a visually exhilarating experience to photograph – even more so after being away from the job for so long.
