Photography Workshops in Manchester

Looking for photography classes in Manchester? Whether you want to get more confident with your camera, take better photographs on your phone, or develop your skills as a photographer, I can help you get there.

I’m Priti, a professional photographer based in Manchester. I’ve spent over 10 years working in photography, shooting everything from live music and portraits to events and commercial projects. I’ve also delivered photography workshops, business training and sessions for young people.

My photography classes are practical, relaxed and friendly. You’ll spend time actually taking photographs, experimenting with different techniques and asking questions, rather than sitting through hours of technical theory.

No complicated jargon. No pressure. Just photography, hands-on learning and advice you can put into practice straight away.

Photography Workshops in Manchester

My photography workshops are designed to help you build confidence, understand your camera and develop your own creative eye.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve been taking photographs for years and want to improve, we can focus on the skills that matter most to you.

Depending on your experience and what you’d like to learn, sessions can cover:

• Camera settings and manual mode: Understand aperture, shutter speed and ISO, and learn how to take control of your camera.
• Composition and creative photography: Learn how to frame your shots, work with perspective and make everyday scenes more interesting.
• Lighting: Understand how to use natural light and explore lighting techniques to improve your photographs.
• Practical photography: Get out and shoot, put what you’ve learnt into practice and receive helpful feedback.
• Editing your photographs: Explore straightforward editing techniques to help your images look their best.
• Developing your photography career: If you’d like to turn your hobby into a business, we can discuss portfolios, finding clients, pricing and marketing your work.

Every session is an opportunity to learn by doing, with guidance tailored to your experience and goals.

Beginner Photography Classes in Manchester

Bought a camera but still using automatic mode? You’re not alone.

If you’ve ever looked at all the buttons and settings on your camera and wondered where to start, a beginner photography class can help you make sense of it all.

I’ll explain the fundamentals in plain English and give you the chance to practise as we go. You’ll learn how to make more informed decisions when taking photographs, rather than relying on your camera to do everything for you.

You don’t need to have any previous photography experience. Just bring your camera, your curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

My smartphone photography workshops help you get more from the camera you already carry around with you.

These sessions are suitable for beginners, hobbyists and anyone who wants to feel more confident taking photographs on their phone.

Learn From a Working Professional Photographer

I started my photography journey from the ground up and have built a career working with clients and publications including the British Museum, Manchester Museum, Manchester International Festival, Kerrang! and NME.

Alongside my professional photography work, I’ve delivered training for businesses and workshops for different age groups.

That experience shapes the way I teach. I want photography to feel accessible and enjoyable, whatever your starting point.

You don’t need to become a professional photographer to benefit from a class. Sometimes it’s simply about understanding your camera, finding a new creative outlet or coming away with photographs you’re genuinely proud of.If that sounds like you, this Manchester photography course will be a great fit.
