I’ve been sharing new travel content over on www.pritispassport.com which is a project I’m working on – so do head on over and check it out – and sign up to mailing list if you would love to get some travel inspiration right to your email.
I think it’s so important to be sharing and shooting personal work, it comes across on commissioned projects and its the only way to really keep learning.
Over the last few months, I’ve fallen in love with film. I’ve been shooting in film & will share some content from the roles in the near future, but also my post production has changed. I love how it’s progressing and breathing some new life & energy into my work.
We are the biggest critics of our work, it sucks to be bored to be shooting & feeling like your work is …um…. stale?!
So a little catch up, I got hitched back in March alllll the way over in New Zealand. It was wonderful! Then we had wedding round 2 over here in the UK. The whole big traditional Indian wedding shebang.
I’m gonna go ahead and share some snaps from the wedding here probably on the next post, we hired a photographer of course but I was so keen to just shoot on phone / polaroids and have friends and family share their photos with me so that we had them for personal use too. They look wonderful!
Along with that change, I’ve been working on commissioned projects and fitting travel into there too. Basically, it’s been a whirlwind since last September since the (now) hubby proposed!
We booked this trip pretty last minute since, well, we suck at planning in advance at the best of times. Haha! We booked it Monday following the 3 day(!) wedding ending Sunday last week and flew out on Tuesday afternoon for a few nights.
Last time I visited Paris was when I was back in college, I remembered it well but I think Paris is a city you learn to appreciate when you’re older and erhummmm wiser.
We had such an amazing time & I absolutely fell in love with the city. I had been wanting to visit Paris again for a while but last year, we ended up heading to Munich and Iceland last minute, so Paris kinda got left behind.
We stayed at the wonderful Doisy Etoile which was a stones throw from Arc De Triomphe & had heaps of great food joints nearby. Highly recommend the hotel – staff were also super helpful and friendly.
I’m so glad we had the chance to do Paris right after the wedding & totally stoked to have experienced it with my partner in crime.
I can’t wait for many more adventures with you Kalpesh :p
Love you xxx
Here’s some shots from the trip & a YouTube video, including the amazing Eiffel Tower lit up at night, Arc De Triomphe, Louvre, and of course, DISNEY! Mostly though, it was awesome to just capture street shots and just take it all in.
