I’ve found it challenging to know what to post during these times but I’ve been doing what I feel is right including heading out to photograph the Black Lives Matter Peaceful Protest which took place on 6th June 2020.
I’ve grown up around a mixed community and this I’m so very thankful for & so I’ve never been ok with people being treated differently due to skin colour or any other ‘differences’.
When I was in high school, I was elected to meet the local MP when she visited our school, at the time I didn’t understand why.
Through the years I’ve had people tell me I’ve been the voice of reason & that I have a strong personality – sometimes I’ve seen this as a negative thing since I’m also female.
Yes women have much more to contend with in general, never mind being a person of colour.
What I’ve also learnt through the years is that we need people like you and I who have passion & truly fight for what we believe in – We must continue to do the greater good & keep raising our voices for the causes and things we believe in 💯
I’ll be using my platforms to share more of the things close to my heart & the things I believe & stand up for and I encourage you to do the same 🙌🏾
Be 💯 your authentic self.
